On Wednesday, April 2, 2025 the CBS Evening News (dinner hour!) aired a gripping piece on funeral poverty during their “Eye on America” segment. Andy Wolff, Producer, had reached out to me several weeks before in my role as President of the Funeral Consumers Alliance. They were making a story on the cost of dying in America, and could we help? Talk about your perfect timing! This year at the FCA, we are full tilt forward on efforts to expose and challenge the rising costs of funerals through more education, resources, and legislative change.
